GET STRONGER. FEEL BETTER.

Welcome

to All Bodies Movement & Wellness, a queer-owned, anti-racist, trans-positive, fat-positive personal training studio based in Asheville, NC.

Okay, sure, we are all of those things. But really we just want to move without watching ourselves in front of a mirror, in a bright, happy space with plants, in a place that celebrates and welcomes ALL bodies instead of berating them.

  • We want to move because movement is an expression of autonomy.

  • We want to be stronger on the outside so we can be stronger on the inside.

  • We want to mess around with some kettlebells while a floofy dog gets in the way.

  • We want group training programs that focus on technique and form instead of how many crazy-looking pull-ups you can do in 30 seconds.

  • We want to pick the music. Some days Pearl Jam; some days Bieber. Don’t judge.

We invite you to build a more joyful relationship to fitness. Our clients have more acceptance and comfort in their bodies, they’re stronger, they have fewer aches and pains, and they work out because it helps them feel better—no other reason needed.

If you’re here for the intersectional feminism, that’s cool. Physical movement and strength training work wonders for your sense of agency and bodily autonomy.

On the other hand, you deserve one hour of your life where you don’t have to think about anything except moving and having fun.  And we’ll definitely do that!

Our philosophy & commitments

We believe fitness should be accessible to all bodies and that exercise should be fun, not a punishment.

We consistently work on owning where we experience privilege and actively work to educate ourselves, listen to others, and engage in dialogue around dismantling oppression.

We are actively working to create a culture where the service we provide is as much fun for us as it is for you.

We value accessibility and sustainability, and that means paying our employees more than double the living wage in Asheville, making sure they have the benefits and protections they need & deserve, and making our offerings accessible at multiple price points.

This business has to work for us as much as it has to work for you. We’re committed to taking care of ourselves, listening to our bodies, taking breaks, and being honest about it.
